Viewing the 5 Different Types of Shots and Wildcat Morning News

Today we will take some time to review the work that you all did on Monday. I am looking forward this class today. Creativity is key in this class and I am hoping that all of you put your best foot forward in this assignment.
So first step in the process is to make sure that you have what you want to present in i-Movie. Arrange the clip so that they convey a coherent story.

Also, we need to discuss if we want to do the Wildcat Morning News (WMN)??  It is great fun and a great deal of work.  For this to work we will need to work as smaller groups.  We can break it down as sections of news, such as weather, news, sports, entertainment, technology and so on.
Also, I want this to be done in a professional manner.  Of course there will be a time for humor but we should take this project very seriously.

What needs to be done for WMN:

  1. A logo
  2. Rotating Anchor People for the different areas of the news
  3. Learning to use the Green Screen
  4. Who we want to interview
  5. What news we want to talk about
There can be many different areas to attack but we need to be consistent with our ideas and goals.

The roles:

1. Director - The director is responsible for overseeing the creative aspects of a film, including controlling the content and flow of the film's plot, directing the performances of actors, organizing and selecting the locations in which the film will be shot, and managing technical details such as the positioning of cameras, the use of lighting, and the timing and content of the film's soundtrack. Though the director wields a great deal of power, they are ultimately subordinate to the film's producer or producers. Some directors, especially more established ones, take on many of the roles of a producer, and the distinction between the two roles is sometimes blurred.

2. Camera Operator - The camera operator uses the camera at the direction of the cinematographer, director of photography, or the film director to capture the scenes on film. Generally, a cinematographer or director of photography does not operate the camera, but sometimes these jobs may be combined.

3. Actor(s) - is a person who acts in a dramatic production and who works in film, television, theatre, or radio in that capacity.[1] The ancient Greek word for an "actor," ὑποκριτής (hypokrites), means literally "one who interprets";[2] in this sense, an actor is one who interprets a dramatic character.

4. Script Supervisor - Also known as the "continuity person", the script supervisor keeps track of what parts of the script have been filmed and makes notes of any deviations between what was actually filmed and what appeared in the script. They make notes on every shot, and keep track of props, blocking, and other details to ensure continuity from shot to shot and scene to scene. The Script Supervisor's notes are given to the Editor to expedite the editing process. The script supervisor works very closely with the director on set.

Topics for 1st Wildcat News...
1. Welcome Back...what did you do this summer? Interview students/teachers to see what they did this summer.
2. What students and teachers are looking forward to this year.

I liked tommy and ashus movie. It was funny and I liked the rock paper scissors.

In the morning news, they should have a think question. They used to have it. Also they should have jokes.
